Nextbase is a market leader in connected car technology and driving intelligence.
As a social media manager for Nextbase, I took lead on transforming the Nextbase social profiles from a rogue repost account to a professional brand in the car accessory/technology space. Through my research, I implemented strategy to bring Nextbase up to par with high-end competitors such as Garmin and Vantrue.

GOAL:
More North American website sales; to be positioned as the leader in dash cam & car technology in the US.
SOLUTION:
Knowing Nextbase’s main audience would be “car guys,” I ideated and executed video series content (“Reaction Videos,” “Reddit Readings,” “Who’s at Fault?”) to establish brand awareness and encourage maximum engagement. I also chose videos to repost/react to based on a specific set of parameters that would push the boundaries of social content without crossing any moral/ethical boundaries.
RESULTS (ACCRUED WITHIN A 5 MONTH WINDOW):
Instagram
- Followers increased by 20,786
- Engagement rate increased from 3% to 8%
- Impressions increased by 62.2%
- 20 all-time videos over 1M views. 13 of those 1M+ viewed videos were gained under my implemented strategies and in just five months.
Facebook
- Followers increased by 1,473
- Impressions increased by about 533%
- Highest view count for a Reel on Facebook: 20M+ views
TikTok:
- Followers increased by 4,269
- Video views consistently hitting 20K+ views
Twitter/X
- Impressions increased by about 157%
